Auf die Coverversion von Lesley Gore´s “It´s my party”, das 1963 eines der ersten Hits von Qincy Jones war und heute von Amy Winehouse und Mark Ronson produziert wurde, habe ich mich ganz besonders gefreut und kann nun mit viel Stolz verkünden, dass ich als Allererste eine Tonspur von dem vor drei Tagen auf Soundcloud veröffentlichten Song kommentiert habe.. Hier der Beweis;)
Es heißt übrigens, dass ihr neues und drittes Album bis Januar 2011 erscheinen soll. Dagegen spricht jedoch, glaubt man dem Rolling Stone, dass Ronson gesagt haben soll, sie hätten noch gar nicht mit den Aufnahmen begonnen.. Wir werden sehen und hoffentlich bald hören.
Zurecht gehypt. Eine wundervolle Mischung aus klassischem French und Chicago House, Disco und gutem Pop. Habe ich schon mal erwähnt, dass die diesjährige Disco Renaissance fantastisch ist?
I would love to introduce you to my new favourite album: “Swim” by Caribou. It will be released in Europe on April 19th, but can already be streamed on Soundcloud. It´s a very nice and funky electro pop album, accompanied by the beautiful voice (á la Erlend Oye) of the multiinstrument Dan Snaith alias Caribou. They will have a show in Berlin on April 27th in Berghain.

This week must be a french one for me. First I discover the music universe Novaplanet based in Paris and now I fell in love with the french band Gush ! But again the good french people seem not to give a shit about friendly people, who do not speak their oh so sophisticated language.. No clue, where they ´re from… But as everybody knows, sometimes you don´t need to know anything about him to know that he´s the one….
