Niagara Whirlpool
The drive there from NY: about 12 hours. And while I was heading up north to cold Canada, NYC was getting snowed in. A big surprise.
Final destination: a block filled with houses that resemble castles – 5 min. from the downtown area — they were nice but the TREES were gorgeous!
Food: for the first time in my life I ate and loved MUSHROOMS (not the poisonous ones). Oliver and Bonacini is the name of the place and the food is damn delicious.
The club: Roosevelt Room, charming SPACE but for all the fuss the DJ really didn’t impress. All in all I absolutely loved Toronto, and despite having spent only two short days there, this beautiful city is going on my new list of ‘Cities I’d Live In’.

Good Morning NY, Good Morning World Web
This morning I woke to a completely serene atmosphere; a breeze came in through the window by my bed, the sun shone in covering half my body, a sight of dried flowers on the left of me and bird chirps covering up the sound of trucks 14 flights below.
After a long, equally relaxing shower, I finished packing my suitcase (so I could catch a flight after work) and made my way out.
I usually always take the subway, but this morning I was supposed to make a first stop at a friends house, so:
Headed to the nearest avenue to get a taxi - instead found two of my neighbors and three strangers standing on different parts of the street doing the exact thing. So typical; when you really need them, they’re nowhere to be found. After about 20 minutes I saw a bus approaching and decided to get on it. With one hand holding the suitcase and the other trying to keep my balance while being pushed around by fellow NY’ers, I stood on this overcrowded bus relieved to finally be moving along. Right? wrong.
Overcome by this familiar ‘morning rush stress’ I kept looking at my phone to check the time – it took us 22 minutes to go 8 blocks!!!! fuck this shit. I got off, walked two avenues to the 68th street subway station and like a madwoman ran down the stairs with a suitcase and two bags.
Of course, when you’re in a hurry and stressed, nothing goes right. First train came – faces squished against the windows, bodies stacked like sardines, not even room for a fly to get on – forget it. Waited for the second train. Stood right next to a girl who wore two Newport cigarette boxes as earrings!! I’ve seen her before..very beautiful. Good distraction..helped me chill out. Finally my stop came, and once again, in my strict pencil skirt and crazy hair I rushed up the subway stairs and inhaled deeply when I finally reached my office building…woohoo.
I’m now sitting at my desk having some breakfast and coffee..kinda laughing at how such a serene morning turned into a hormonal and physical workout. Keep pumping NY.
