Nara Dreamland.
The forgotten playground. There is something slightly scary about abandoned funparks. Dreamlike… maybe close to the images in a nightmare. Beautiful but scary. Where once there were laughing and joy jumping kids, there are now overgrown steel carrousel’s, broken rollercoasters and big faces of strange wrinkled up witches.

Welcome To My Crab World: Bedtime Stories

Watching “A Blind Side” on a rainy April Sunday in Berlin, Big Mike says he has never had a bed before (and not: a room for himself). A BED. I started thinking about it, nostalgically cruising in my memory database, visually seeing all those many beds I have slept in so far.

Beds give you shelter. They protect you, give you a place to reflect, to feel yourself. Once you lay in bed, you come back to your senses, or sometimes “out of your mind”, but in the end its our intimacy temple.
When there are no arms, there are sheets bedding our tears, catching our free-fall. Witnesses to our loving adventures and kisses in between, they are our unconscious diary.
