I am so thankful that Miki brings this project to live again, it’s been almost 4 years since we first did it and still….when I look back there is no other  live project that created a momentum comparable to this one. For me it was the start of a beautiful journey which lead me to start working on my first album. Now in the midst of that process, I get the opportunity  to go back on that stage, surrounded by a symphony orchestra and artist who are not only an inspiration but my personal, musical and emotional support system,but people that became family along the way…I don’t know if it can get any better.

Maaaaaan, time flies. This is ridiculous. My boys from Dreamteam Clothing are already celebrating their 5th years anniversary ! Of course the party boys  gonna do that with a big ass event  in their hometown Düsseldorf next Saturday, so they reanimated Miki and the ‘12inch Orchestra’, a project that we wanted to do for quite some time now.  Imagine hearing aaaaall of your favorite tracks from back in the days live… (and we know that Miki is killing this live shit)…..today is the second day of rehearsal and I am loving it . Working with Miki and performing tracks that I’ve been rapping and singing along for years now is really something else. That experience combined with performing for a crowd that holds my closest friends makes all of this so special for me.

There are so many different ways to be connected to people. There are the people you feel this unspoken connection to even though theres not even a word for it and then there are the people who you’ve known for a long time. Those who just know you in this way that other people can’t because they’ve seen u change. They’ve let u change.
For me, there are gonna be a lot of those people on saturday, on and off stage……I will try not to cry, ’so I gotta make the song cry’.

My boy Miki was in town this weekend for a MADE project involving Aloe Blacc and the artist Jaybo. As usual he worked his magic on the violin, this time he arranged some of Aloe’s tracks for a classical string quintett, while Artist Jaybo put the musical impressions into a painting.  So on Saturday the usual suspects came together at MADE to enjoy the outcome of all this in form of an little unplugged concert. I think I said it before, but I just love the strings. It’s so weird what classical live music does to me, it’s as if the music starts to control my body, my breath. No thoughts, just feelings. Music can be so powerful if you let it. Thanks to Team MADE , Team Miki and Aloe Blacc for this great emotional evening.

The pussy in me felt so so so so proud seeing Miki there, doing his thing. Seeing his talent and work being apreciated ; i tried not to cry though Also it felt so good to have him and his family and some other friends in town and spend some time, catch up, enjoy the sun that blessed Berlin this weekend.

Remember my boy Miki? I am sure you do, we worked together at his Opus1 Hip Hop meets Classic project, you can check out some videos  here. While working on their project ‘Valse Automatique’,  he sat down with the guys from MADE for VISIONS OF VISIONAIRIES.http://www.vimeo.com/17536882 “Valse Automatique” premiered this weekend, so you better  make sure you check MADE for the videos next week !

MADE about Miki:
“Miki was brought up in classical music by his family and at the moment is a concertmaster of a German symphony orchestra. But what makes this young man so outstanding is his love and deep understanding for hip hop.
He combines best of both worlds and brings a 70 men (and women) strong classical orchestra together with rappers and singers, he writes hip hop inspired pieces for string players and on the other hand lets rappers dive into the world of classical music.
For this MADE project Miki got together with product designer Hermann August Weizenegger and lots of other players which soon will be revealed.”
