during her studies at the berlin designschool MDH, the fashion design student alexandra fenkner met the berlin based designer esther perbandt, who co-teached for a semester at her school. she asked the students to create a collection “on colour and blindness”. the designer decides to create a collection for big city dandies: “dark vanity” is a mix between very classic suits and modern elements such as sporty jackets and trousers. also my view on the dandy of the post-modern world shows a different picture: i wanted to show a serious, intense and thoughtful man, a modern dandy as a result of historical progress.
