The Treasures are two gorgeous looking ladies. To be exact, fashion designer Marianne Kraus and events director Carolina Carrasco. They used to travel a lot, but were often looking for an insider’s view into their destinations. This is where the idea began, to provide fellow globetrotters a trustworthy and unique guide, showing them the best of the best of Barcelona and Madrid.
The Treasured are tailor made tours, following the principle of making hidden spots and gems accessible. No more extensive web searches before you go somewhere, no more money spent on amateurs showing you around to obvious locations. They want you to experience your holiday as if you were a local, giving you options for culinary delights, tucked in side street gallery excellencies and one of a kind boutiques ranging from fashion to vintage furniture and much more. Your comfort is their highest priority, and that also why they’d do anything for you to have your stay of a lifetime.
The Treasures is basically a customizable open travel book, led by two ladies that show you their cities as if you were their best friend.
For the rest we invite you to check out their beautiful looking website and hopefully booking your first or next tour soon!

The anticipation is building up by the day for the opening of doors of the newest Museum of Ideas&Inventions in Barcelona, or in short, MIBA. The date of the inauguration is finally set for the 23rd of March, after a lot of prolonging since the end of 2010. Check out their Facebook for additional Info on what Barcelona’s new museum will be like.
Project granddad is none other that inventor Pep Torres, who, along with his majestic ideas, will bring a new crowd of museum amateurs to Barcelona. The building is located behind the City Hall and, while staying true to its initial architechture, will incorporate tons of modern elements. There will be permanent collections, temporary exhibitions, a reading room for documentation and a Lab to carry out experiments, workshops and formations. Innovative you might say.

We love a good brekky and even better is a hearty brunch. Granola, yoghurt, fresh fruit and eggs. The thought makes our stomachs grumble, maybe even forcing one to get out of bed, despite painful hang over. Well, if you happen to be in Barcelona when such a craving comes by, the Picnic Restaurant is one of those places you can’t deny. The most indulgent morning treat and service with a smile! If only we always woke up to the Spanish sun.
