IN LOVE WITH THE XX

buy this album folks. it’s beautiful.
so minimal. but yet so powerful.

people, especially purists, hip hop purists…
are so afraid of where music is going right now.

me, i’m just kinda excited!!

this marrying of styles. to some it’s a disaster.
to me it’s beautiful. the 80s, 90s, the synths, the boom bap, the electro, the guitars, the punk, the heavy bass lines, the kiddy raps, the soulful vocals, the effects, the movement, the moves, new dance styles…etc…

new emerging styles everywhere

and i’m open…and excited like a kid at a toy store.

Apart from The XX i’m also loving the new The Roots album, Big Boi’s new album, The Electric (new group from Dj Vadim to come out on “Organically Grown Sounds” next year), Janelle Monae, Dim Lite, Andreya Triana, Rusko etc etc…

Anyways. i felt i had to share… <3
