Jeffrey Campbell has gotten us used to his conspicuous precious shoe collections and now uses the same vibe to create handbags.
California has definitely played a decisive role in this designer’s identity, as he has steadily become one of THE designers to know throughout the US. His company is family based and therefore values loyalty more than anything else. He believes that, by staying truthful to his inspiration, good things will come.
The bag collection is called “Girls We Hated in High School” and is obviously targeting a young, adventurous target group. Apparently someone has let him in on a little secret: that all girls secretly want to be hated in high school.

Model Camilla Rowe poses for the acclaimed Theo Wenner for the latest cover of Jalouse. She’s wearing summer in this wonderfully tame spread, and this time summer consists of swimsuits and ready to wear from the likes of Miu Miu, Just Cavalli and Tommy Hilfiger. The theme is the old US of A and there is obviously nudity involved.

Miss Lauryn Hill has finally decided to come out to the world once more and do what she does best.
She’s been under she covers for as long as anyone can remember and left us in the best part of the last decade Hill-less so to say, breaking her score only once to make an Australian appearance when former The Fugees mate Wyclean Jean cancelled his gig at the very last second because of the earthquake in his home of Haiti.
Miss Hill made her claim for fame thanks to her piercing lyrics and dark rhymes with the The Fugees and then went on to drop Grammy-winning album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill”.
Her fans are ecstatic at the breaking news of the new US tour she’ll be soon embarking upon that includes 12 cities, many different sites and some festivals.
Check out the dates after the click for Lauryn Hill’s Moving Target: Extended Playdate Series and keep in touch with the groovy diva on Twitter!

RAtheMC’s brand new video is a lovely view on the American way. The female rapper has had it hard since 2006 when she launched her musical career, not gaining nearly enough credit as she should have. However true that may be, the video for “Dreams”, featured on the album “Heart of a Champion”, is a reminder that her creative ideas are not nearly running out, and, if you listen closely, that this corrupted world won’t stand in the way of her following her own.
Enjoy!

The two people behind this goldmine (literally!) run their business mostly online, although the up to now two existing shops in New York and Los Angeles tend to help.
Their jewellery pieces they produce are awfully cute, so damn cute that they could probably melt the hearts of all tough-love girls, ever. Just like all good things, they come in small packages, shaped like tiny baby elephants, Swiss cheese carousels and spaceships and are made of gold, silver or bronze.
Lovingly made in New York City. We like it. As a friend.

South African rap crew Die Antwoord finally completed their collaboration with “Kids” writer Harmony Korine, which ultimately resulted in a short film that will premiere March 15th at the South by Southwest film festival in Austin’s State theatre, Texas.
The 16 minute film is called “Umshini Wam” and starrs rappers Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$er.
The official capture sneaks a peak into what it’s about:
“Big dreams, big blunts, big rims, and big guns. It’s time to get gangsta gangsta. Ninja and Yo-Landi are wheelchair-bound lovers and real gangstas. They live in the outskirts of civilization, they shoot guns for fun, smoke massive joints, and sleep in the woods. They don’t have any blingto show for their gangsta cred, but the world deserves to know who they are. They’re tramps, and their wheels are starting to fall off. Ninja become despondent over their vagabond existence, but Yo Landi won’t let him give up. What ensues is straight up gangsta mayhem, the realist of the real, true gangsta shit.”

The Paris born photographer Sarah De Burgh seems to have been melted with her camera. Stumbling upon an old SLR Minolta of her Chinese-American mother, she became truthful to analogue photography and decided to change her career plans from marketing to studio lights and developing dark rooms. Apart from taking beautiful pictures from beautiful ladies, she loves to capture ordinary situations like fire-brigade operations or snapshots from American cheerleader-teams. What remains, is an extraordinary talent influenced by urban lifestyles and the female role in our contemporary world. That’s her up there by the way… eVeLuV’s!

At first it might be a little bit disgusting but with no doubt this is a real piece of urban streetart. The Seattle Gum Wall is one of the most visited tourist spots in the world. It all began when people who were waiting to buy tickets to the theater, stuck their chewing gums on the wall to stick small coins on it. Later, of course the coins disappeared, but the chewing gums remained together with a new born tradition. The attendants of the theater cleaned the wall twice, then they gave it up in 1999 when this became a local tourist attraction. By now you don’t only find gum, but real creative pieces, names and messages, symbols and signs. You will find the wall in Post Alley under the Park Market Place in Seattle.
