We just stumbled upon the work of Thierry Bouet, to be more specific on his book Deslits. The famous french photographer, long time contributor from Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair among many others, has been recording his work, life, journeys and feelings for the past 20 years. Deslits is the title of a photographic series and book where he features a number of known and unknown french people as they sleep in their bed or a strange location. Wanting to check if our bond to that piece of furniture was a sort of illness, he portraits over 80 beds from everything traditional to the weirdest places we could imagine to lay our heads on. An interesting review on one of the things we enjoy doing the most in our lives: sleep! We like!

The next two editorials we are featuring of the current “Grunge” issue of I Love Fake Magazine are both by our eVeLuVed photographer Saga Sig. The Icelandic and London-based talent teamed up with stylist Anna Soffia (who also designed all the head pieces) to capture “When I wake up in my make up, It’s too early for that dress”. Model Svala Lind is wearing loads of lace, heart stockings and killer platforms while she lounges around in her leo-pink apartment. Second editorial “Where Did You Sleep Last Night” presenting model Maria Birta in an oldskool camper styled up by Ellen Loftsdottir for mustard & camel colorways. Once again Miss Sig shows that her styles of photography are endless and how she can adapt to any sort of storyline. Fans all over again!

Fourth & Fifth editorial from I Love Fake Magazine, and we are still loving every one of them! First one up is “Laisse Tombe Les Filles” by Viktor Vauthier, using his 35mm camera to show two beautiful girls playing around in an oldschool apartment, mixing a little brit punk with lace and and sweet goth looks. “Please, Oh Please Hear My Prayers For Rain” is the work of the dutch photographer Frank De Graaf with a hand for the styling from Amber Myhre Bosch who definitely isn’t a newcomer, having collaborated with Vice, Rails and Elle Style Awards in the past. Cool hairdos, infinite shoulders and masculine bows make up a really nice short photo series. Enjoy both of them after the click!

And we are really in love with their fake fakeness! The dutch digital bi-monthly magazine, made by independent artists and publishers, amazes us with their editorials, content and look. They celebrate youth mixing fashion, culture and art in a way that we haven’t seen in quite some time. That is why in the upcoming weeks we are going to feature their latest issue “Grunge” in small bits, just because we cannot decide on which editorial we like best! “Im All I Want To Be, A Walking Study In Demonology” is the first one, which was also used for the cover, and was captured by Jolijn Snijders with a styling from Jordy Huinder. eVeLuV’s!

We have known the work of Massimo Vitali for quite some time now, being good friends from our London family at SOSHO, having some of his photographs in their office. Over the past 12 years, the Italian photographer who lives and works between Lucca, Italy and Berlin, has developed a new approach to portray the world, illuminating the accumulation of herds of people in large format photography. He explains his projects as “The inner conditions and disturbances of normality: its cosmetic fakery, sexual innuendo, commodified leisure, deluded sense of affluence, and rigid conformism”. 1995 he gave birth to the Beach Series, for which we know and treasure him for best!

Let us proudly present Quentin de Briey. Part of the Barcelona family, we got to know Quentin last Halloween while finding his phone in a club. Our Beauty&Beast eVerettes already reported of the exhibition which the Barcelona based photographer opened in February 2009, but still his new series “The Other Day (Suite 2)” made us be fans all over again. The Belgian photographer shows us a detailed intimate and romantic view into his life showing the spontaneous character that he is himself. Skating, sharing, loving- all packed in adventures of his beautiful daily routines. He does not carry a boring life, and therefore his pictures make us feel alive again!
