“When something’s good, why dont do it again?” … must have said the Berliner Club- and Restaurantowner Cookie, when he decided to open a second veggie restaurant, after the first CHIPPS at Jägerstraße was such a big success.

On Monday evening CHIPPS #2 opened its doors, where we can now finally be able to enjoy lunch, dinner or breakfast at its new location at Friedrichstraße. The concept is the same as at CHIPPS #1: light and delicous meals and salads, mostly vegetarian, but not solely. You can choose meat as a garment on your plate.

The opening was extremely crowded, showing once again how popular the concept of eating healthy and carrying a healthy lifestyle has become to our generation. Congratulations and good lunch, ehhh… luck, Cookie!

As announced here and here, on Thursday was the grand opening of BOLD, run by Svenja Evers and Julia Winkels, together with a beautiful exhibition launch of Leila El-Kayem’s “The Tree Story”. And with grand, we mean real grand! Packed streets, yummy drinks, a bunch of friends, flowers, smiles, three beautiful hosts, music, kids, ladies and last but surely not least the super-cute and creative tree drawings. “Unfortunately” the ones we fell in love were already sold by the time we got there, but that’s of course a good thing! Congratulations to the happy buyers and big up for planting another tree by the charity organization “Trees for Cities”. SOTO-neighbour David Fischer was not as lazy as we were (we were just to caught up chatting to strangers!) and shot some great pictures which you can enjoy after the click. Big-Up again Bolderettes!

Wer es noch nicht mitbekommen hat: Der nächste Donnerstag steht auch in Berlin ganz im Zeichen des weltweiten Vogue Fashion´s Night Out, was konkret bedeutet, es darf bis Mitternacht geshoppt werden, bis die Karte glüht. Zahlreiche Labels und Shops nehmen an der Aktion teil, manch ein Designerladen hat anläßlich sogar Special Items oder Goodies. Der Cabinet Department Store im Quartier 206 feiert die Eröffnung seines Onlineshops und lädt dazu ein! Mit Drinks, lieblings-ladies DJanes Bianca Checker & Beyza Bear an dem Mischpulten und deliziösen Cupcakes!

Hui, drauf gewartet, gebetet, gehofft haben die Fashionistas (und wir natürlich) auf dieses Ereignis ja schon einige Zeit. Grün vor Neid schielten wir nach Hamburg, konnten es nicht nicht glauben, dass dort zuerst, wo doch Berlin als Mode-Haupstadt, wie gemein… aber dass es dann doch so schnell geht, erfreut uns natürlich ungemein: Ach ja, es geht um die Shoperöffnung des Weekday Stores in Berlin! Und wann wäre ein besserer Zeitpunkt, den wenigen, die noch nichts von der Existenz dieses schwedischen, Superstores wissen, davon zu berichten, als die kommenden Tage, die die Stadt wieder komplett der Mode widmen wird. Am Donnerstag, den 8. Juli 2010 öffnen also die Türen von Weekday in der schicken Friedrichstraße 140 und erweitern unseren Mode-Horizont damit um einen weiteren skandinavischen Labelspezialisten, dem wir ja mit gutem Grund bereits entgegen gefiebert haben. Und wer nicht gleich am Freitag den Laden stürmen kann, sollte die Gallery vielleicht lieber noch nicht angucken.
