We presented Danilo Parra a few days ago, now he is back with some fresh news. Tomorrow he will be premiering his documentary Closeness, at the National Arts Club in New York. The short film will be presented together with a live concert from the films main character Kalaparusha & band and artworks among which, we will be to find a painting of the saxophone player which Parra created himself. The proceeds of the painting will of course go to Kalaparusha and his family. Check it out and see the trailer below again!

Garance Doré is a french Illustrator who started her fashion blog back in 2006. She has now published a short video showing her and Scott Schumann (The Sartorialist) as they jump in between the Fashion Weeks of Paris, London, New York and Milan a few months ago and the experiences they share during those inspiring days. Putting a magincal spell over that world with “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” chosen as the theme song, the video shows faces such as Mario Testino, Olivier Zahm, Jared Leto, Laeticia Casta and many others. „If the one you love was lying to you, how far would you go to find out the truth?“- this is what the new Atom Egoyan directed feature film “Chloe” is promising to reveal, starting in German cinemas on April 15^th. Sounds promising, at least the marvellous cast definitely lifts our expectations, by including Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and the absolutely beautiful Amanda Seyfried- who plays Chloe. The at first glance perfect couple of Catherine (Moore) and David (Neeson), appear to have an idyllic relationship. But like in real life, women are known for their good instincts and Catherine starts to suspect infidelity, when she decides to hire an escort to seduce her husband to test his loyalty. Who could have known, that Chloe was just as dishonest as her husband?! The sexy trailer already reveals that there will be a lot to witness when looking through the keyhole, we are surely curious to see it in full!

We have just stumbled upon David Lynch’s “Interview Project”, maybe you all know it already. For those who not, check this out! Lynch has done an interview-roadtrip-documentary, shooting 121 short films about people he meets on a 60 day, 20.000 mile trip across USA. The idea was crea by Austin Lynch (David’s son) and Jason S. while they were sitting at the kitchen table. All the portraits are of people that they have met along the way, telling their personal and emotional story and letting us actually meet them by looking into their lives and listening to their dreams. The project already started back in June 2009 and the episodes can be watch online! Currently they are on episode 098, so you better hurry to catch up- 23 episodes to go!

I Am Love (Io sono l’amore) is the Italian film by Luca Guadgnino to hit cinema’s throughout Europe on March 19th. The film is set at the turn of the millennium in Milan, showing the breakthrough of repression due to the forces of passion and unconditional love. The main character Emma Recchi is amazingly played by Tilda Swinton, who takes the leading role to escape the golden family cage. While you can see the trailer below- we can’t wait to see it full length in German Cinema’s starting April 14th!

Tropicana has made a great commercial “bringing the sun” to a small village in the north of Canada on the 8th of January. They created artificial sunlight for the people of Inuvik, which don’t see the sun for 31 days in a row in winter, by installing 100,000 luminous elements into a large helium balloon. Because they believe: “Brighter mornings make for brighter days”. Lovely!

Sometimes its just cool to be born within a family with history and heritage, simply because you can live all the creativity you carry inside. This is also the case of the greatly talented jewellery designer Miss Fendi, Delfina Delettrez. Starting to design when she was just 20 years-old, she has now presented her fifth collection at the Paris Fashion Week. Inspired on the fifth solar cycle in the Mayan calendar she puts out messages as “2012 Is Now”, to be found at Colette or Opening Ceremony.

“When You’re Strange” is the 90 min. film by award-winning director Tom DiCillo which will hit the cinema’s on April 9th, 2010. Narrated by Johnny Depp, it shows rare exclusive footage of the brilliant rock band The Doors. Having presented at Sundance, San Sebastian, London and Berlin Festival among others, it is the first feature documentary about the influential and iconic foursome. Their legacy and spirit can even be felt by looking at the trailer, so we are very eager to see it in full length soon!

Their flashy street fashion approach can be seen within their huge collection, from cropped shirts, to washed out denim, hearts and (leo) prints. Now we are definitely ready for a long road trip, loving Wildfox big time!

With their film coming up (official name to be announced), they have now caught our attention with a teaser, and the last part of the full length movie. Shot throughout the ‘coldest places on earth’, they have a beautiful eye to landscapes & actions. Filmed by Felix Urbauer, Alex Schiller, Vincent Urban, Niko Jentsch, Magnus Törnkvist and edited Vincent Urban himself, both of the clips are great stuff!
