I Love Fake Magazine: “Laisse Tombe Les Filles” & “Please, Oh Please Hear My Prayers For Rain” “

Fourth & Fifth editorial from I Love Fake Magazine, and we are still loving every one of them! First one up is “Laisse Tombe Les Filles” by Viktor Vauthier, using his 35mm camera to show two beautiful girls playing around in an oldschool apartment, mixing a little brit punk with lace and and sweet goth looks. “Please, Oh Please Hear My Prayers For Rain” is the work of the dutch photographer Frank De Graaf with a hand for the styling from Amber Myhre Bosch who definitely isn’t a newcomer, having collaborated with Vice, Rails and Elle Style Awards in the past. Cool hairdos, infinite shoulders and masculine bows make up a really nice short photo series. Enjoy both of them after the click!

Betsey Johnson Archive for Opening Ceremony

The second and final collection of Betsey Johnson Archive for Opening Ceremony has just been released putting up a very sweet Spring/ Summer 2010 line. In celebration to the 30th anniversary of Betsey Johnson, the New York based brand started collaborating with Opening Ceremony last August 2009, to revive the best selection of her classic archived looks. This time around we are teased by a series of floral prints featured on leggings, dresses and flared tops, followed by cute jumpsuits and ruffled shorts in “olive” and “raisin”, which to us appears more to be a violet and mustard- but that isn’t what counts! We like it and if you do too, check out the full collection here!

Third editorial from the current “Grunge” issue of I Love Fake Magazine: Jeroen W. Mantel presents us “Things Ain’t Like They Used To Be” featuring model Leah and styled up by Heleen Out for a true rock’n'roll revival. Leather jackets, studs and boyfriend jeans are the tools for the natural glam look.  As an ongoing photographer for the dutch Glamcult Magazine and shooting for Vice among others, he gives his photographs an edgy and raw touch, making us feel the spirit of every shot. We like!

Bijules Jewellery

Jules Kim believes in the value of self-expression and sees her provocative pieces as more than an accessory, but more of a lifestyle. Bijules is widely known already but still their collection flashes us again and again. Jules Kim designs unique jewellery for powerful modern women, being able to clip, cut, curve and hang the pieces as they like, giving us the opportunity to reach an individual touch that we fashion lovers need. We don’t all want to look the same! Worn by no others than MIA, Santogold, Beyonce, Eve, Gwen Stefani, Peaches and Rihanna, the target group is set very clear. For the “Scream and Spirit” Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection, Bijules collaborated with the excellent fashion photographer Ruvan, to shoot amazing limited edition pictures, which were presented in an exhibition in NYC in February and which will be images of the upcoming campaign. See where you can get Bijules here!

Armor Jewellery

What began as a hobby for Sandee Shin exploded into an entire line of avant-garde jewelry. In 2009 she launched Armor, a collection of high fashion jewellery which mixes understated minimalism and the conceptual fashion. Every piece is made on order and is of course made by hand. We love the way she uses the chains to subtly draping them around our bodies creating a look in between edge and elegance. Doesn’t matter if with a white tee or an evening look, it surely catches attention! You can get them here.

I Love Fake Magazine: “Im All I Want To Be, A Walking Study In Demonology”

And we are really in love with their fake fakeness! The dutch digital bi-monthly magazine, made by independent artists and publishers, amazes us with their editorials, content and look. They celebrate youth mixing fashion, culture and art in a way that we haven’t seen in quite some time. That is why in the upcoming weeks we are going to feature their latest issue “Grunge” in small bits, just because we cannot decide on which editorial we like best! “Im All I Want To Be, A Walking Study In Demonology” is the first one, which was also used for the cover, and was captured by Jolijn Snijders with a styling from Jordy Huinder. eVeLuV’s!
