Slowly but surely we are getting there! After a shaky start in 2005, many re-locations, a line-up that was always medium-rare, some act cancellation because of whatever reasons, the 2011 Berlin Festival being held from September 9th-10th, looks more than promising.

Bringing the former Berlin airport Tempelhof to life after Bread & Butter again, Berlin Festival is presenting an endless variety of acts during the scheduled two days. From hip hop to electro, from pop to indie, from tech house to punk-perfections.

Of course the announcement of the appearance of Odd Future is one of the most anticipated acts, especially for all those who didn’t manage to see them live when they came to Berlin a few months ago.

Battles, Beirut, Boys Noize, CSS, Hercules And Love Affair, Jimmy Edgar, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Mogwai, The Rapture, Santigold and Tune-Yards are just some of the many performing names.

We can hardly wait for the upcoming Berlin Festival, that will take place in September 2010 at Tempelhof Airport. The line-up looks pretty good, and might just give us a chance for a good Berlin summer finish off, hopefully with excellent weather & good spirit. See you there!

“When You’re Strange” is the 90 min. film by award-winning director Tom DiCillo which will hit the cinema’s on April 9th, 2010. Narrated by Johnny Depp, it shows rare exclusive footage of the brilliant rock band The Doors. Having presented at Sundance, San Sebastian, London and Berlin Festival among others, it is the first feature documentary about the influential and iconic foursome. Their legacy and spirit can even be felt by looking at the trailer, so we are very eager to see it in full length soon!
