Each year tire company Pirelli releases a sizzling hot calendar featuring the world’s most sexy models. Last year Terry Richardson got behind the lens to snap nudes of Daisy Lowe, Miranda Kerr and Abbey Lee, just to name a few. To start the year off right Karl Lagerfeld has just released the 2011 calendar in Moscow, and as usual, it lives up to its standards.
Lagerfeld snapped Bianca Balti, Elisa Sednaoui, Freja Beha Erichsen, Isabeli Fontana, Magdalena Frackowiak , Anja Rubik, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Lakshmi Menon, Heidi Mount, Erin Wasson, Natasha Poly, Daria Werbowy, Iris Strubegger, Sebastien Jondeau, Garret Neff, and Jake Davis all under the name of mythology. Each of the black-and-white photos features a model posing as a Greek or Roman god or goddess, clad in accessories such as iron helmets and bow and arrow. This year’s calendar had a special guest, with Julian Moore posing as Zeus’s wife to tie it all together. Thank you 2011!
