Another Pain O choKolat (POK) & PIGALLE production: last Saturday, March 6th, our Parisian friends brought to life Paul Hamy’s first exhibition directly at the PIGALLE store. Together with Stéphane Ashpool (PIGALLE owner & POK co-founder), they welcomed the smiling crowd together, since Paul Hamy is one of the Pain O choKolat founders too and of course a forever-la-famille-member.
The exhibition “CHAPEAU, CHIMÈRE et FORME” (“Hats, Chimeras and Shapes), was decorated throughout the entire store. The two shop’s windows were occupied by two huge pieces suggesting a man with a top-hat trying to escape, which looked absolutely killer. The hat collection, animal face rings (made out of gaffer tape, a technique Paul calls “scochin’”), zoological shaped lampshades and metal wire sculptures like “The patient woman” and “The man falling” could be seen throughout the beautiful shop. The exhibition will go on till Sunday, so be sure to pass by! The hats will stay for sale at PIGALLE. We love his talent and say congr-hat-ulation Monsieur Hamy!
