Am 30. März ist es soweit, das neue Album kommt! Bei Jimmy Fallon in der Late Nightshow, hat Erykah unterstützt von der Band des Hauses “The Roots”, ihre neue Single “Windowseats” performt. Das Outfit was sie trägt, ist sehr eigenwillig. Doch ihr Stimme überzeugt mit jedem Ton!

Lady Dior is premiering their second part of their Lady Rouge video colab with Marion Cotillard and Franz Ferdinand today, before the Dior show in Paris. The Award winning actress is front woman, performing the Franz Ferdinand song “The Eyes of Mars”, mixing up Moulin Rouge wonderlands with a straight forward sexy masculinity. The stylish music video was directed by one of Madonna’s favourite director Jonas Akerlund. Thanks for that- we really enjoyed it! Here is a little sneak preview:

Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek haben es wieder getan, sie haben zusammen ein Mixtape aufgenommen! Die Messlatte liegt hoch, nach dem ersten gemeinsam Album. Am 6. April ist der offizielle Release. It all started with some good old exercise on some treadmills. Not! The Chicago born band, OK Go, actually choreographed one of the best music video’s ever.
Yesterday, the visionary foursome released a new remake video to their single “This Too Shall Pass”. Using a Rube Goldberg Machine designed by Synn Labs, they take you on an amazing chain reaction journey. There is a bit of *nerd* inside all of us and OK Go proves yet once again, that everything is possible when it comes to creativity! We likey likey!

After realeasing her new album “Nobody’s Daughter” back in January 2010, she is now beautifully to be seen on the cover of Spin Magazine, including an editiorial named “The Nine Lives of Courtney Love“. We really like the pictures by Daniel Jackson, and are happy that Ms. Love is back!

Als Letztes nun zu unserer eigenen Installation.
Wir wollten jeder was separates machen, jedoch ein gesamtes Bild schaffen.
Links: Michal zeigte ihre originale Collage aus der Küche, an der sie das letzte Jahr gearbeitet hat. Das Portrait daneben, sie selber, war ein Fokus auf die Locken, ihr “Markenzeichen”. Auf den 2 Podesten, konnte man ein altes Paar Absatzschuhe-Begleiter der Vergangenheit, und den Inhalt ihrer Tasche sehen. Die verschiedenen Einzelheiten, beschreiben wer sie ist.
Rechts:Mayra zeigte Ausschnitte von online Konversationen zwischen einer Frau und einem Mann, genannt hat sie es”Virtual Love”. Rechts daneben, Boardkarten, die sie 1 Jahr lang gesammelt hat. Zudem konnte der Gast einer ihrer “emotion cards” ziehen, eine einfache Version von Tarotkarten. Auf dem Podest im Zentrum darunter, sah man Strandutensilien, die sie am Meer verwendet: Sie ist ein Inselkind!
Das Verbindungsstück war eine goldene Leiter, zu einer goldenen Puppe führend. Diese war verwickelt in einen Strick, von der Decke hängend. Der Strick als Symbol der Verbindung-die goldene Puppe: eVe*

Last but not least, we have arrived to our own exhibition piece.
We wanted to present something seperate, yet create a unity with the whole project.
On the left side, Michal took her original wall collage she has in her kitchen, which she worked on for the past year. The big picture next to it, portraying herself, was a focus on her curls, her “trademark”. On the two podests, we could see old shoes- accomplices of her past, and the content of her bag. All these personal elements, describe her, her lifestyle, likes and fetiches at best.
On the right side, Mayra showed extracts of online conversations between a woman and man, calling the piece “Virtual Lover”. Besides that we could see the boarding passes she collected for one year. On the podest under it all, you could see the beach utensiles she uses when at sea: Island child! At the same time, you could choose an “emotion card”- a simplified version of tarot.
The piece of union was the golden ladder which led to a golden sex doll hanging from the ceiling, tangled in between two ropes. The ropes of unity- the golden woman, being of course: eVe!

Florence + the Machine is one of the most promising upcoming british artist of the moment, that just won the Brit Award in the category Best Album.
What makes her music special, is not only the great tunes, but mostly her character. Writing her songs the best when she is either drunk or hangover, the results are nearly unexplainable. A mixture of strangely sweet sounds, unconventional lyrics and full of pure feeling make you go through a journey of inspiring emotions.
Florence + the Machine will be performing tommorrow at Astra, Berlin. You are lucky if you got a ticket, since they are already sold out since a long time!
