Complete Technique und The Reed Space haben eine Schmuckkollektion kreiert, die definitiv ausgefallen ist. Frau hat das Gefühl, es wurden vor allem Objekte ausgesucht, die Mann gefallen. Von Handfeuerwaffen, Messern, Fotoapparaten, Mischpulten, bis hin zu Stühlen ist alles vertreten. In einen dunklen Metallton, teilweise  schon schwarz, ist die ganze Kollektion aufeinander abgestimmt. Wie Reed Space auf ihrem Blog verkünden, ist es wohl auch Möglich zusätzlich zu customizen.

Michelle Lane is a Brooklyn-based stylist and usually can be found working for magazines such as Nylon and Teen Vogue among others. Last winters New York coldness, brought Michelle to stay in closed surroundings and create a beautiful jewelry collection carrying her own name. She wanted to produce something simple yet refined, something that would fit to any style and most importantly wouldn’t look unnatural or set-up. Michelle started experimenting with a daily used material to create this collection, twisting, draping and knotting ropes, bringing back 70’s inspired colors and presenting an overall excellent feminine touch to each piece. While the collection can currently only be found at Maryam Nassir Zadeh or within her online shop, we can’t wait for it to hit Europe super-soon! We like!

There surely is a new trend coming up regarding jewellery body armour. The half Chinese designer Bliss Lau moved to New York after growing up in Honolulu-Hawaii, to then study at Parsons School of Design. After starting her career with a handbag collection, it took her over four years to discover her passion related to jewellery, with which she wants to “reshape and enhance the most beautiful and forgotten parts of the body”. Influenced and inspired by the culture of her roots and the Big Apple’s architecture, she uses traditional garment draping techniques to design her collections. We love the elegant touch on these yet edgy pieces of unisex fashion accessories, which can be found throughout the US, Japan and her online shop.

We just stumbled upon Stolen Girlfriends Club (great name!). The New Zealand based fashion label presents slick indie-bohemian edginess for eVe & adam’s, making it really hard to decide on what part we like best. Apart from their beautiful collections, they created the raw jewellery line Heavy Metal, giving us a poetic insight on what they have to say. Jessica Kagan Cushman Tochter des bekannten Möbel Designers Vladimir Kagan, hat diese Armreifen entworfen. Heute entdeckt, völlig begeistert, sind wir nun etwas verwirrt bezüglich des Materials, das sie für diese benutzt. Elfenbein! Leider gibt es keine Aussagen zur Beschaffung; wir möchten an das Gute im Menschen glauben, (solange wir nicht vom Gegenteil überzeugt werden) und hoffen, dass sie das Material auf einem tierfreundlichen Weg bekommt. After a small store on the Upper East Side they managed to quickly grow the brand, opening their boutique in SoHo and merging into the wholesale jewelry business- by now being sold all over the world. Their fine jewel threads are not only loved by us, but also worn by Jessica Alba, Cameron Diaz and the rest of the Hollywood clan which appreciate the handmade pieces in 14K gold or sterling silver. What began as a hobby for Sandee Shin exploded into an entire line of avant-garde jewelry. In 2009 she launched Armor, a collection of high fashion jewellery which mixes understated minimalism and the conceptual fashion. Every piece is made on order and is of course made by hand. We love the way she uses the chains to subtly draping them around our bodies creating a look in between edge and elegance.
