Ibiza Rocks started out in 2005, when being one of the first to organise live performances on the magical island, at the Mannumission Hotel in San Antonio. San An is probably the place on Ibiza to avoid the most, but a ride for New Young Pony Club or Mark Ronson was surely a reason to drive down there. Since most of the musical attention goes into welcoming some of the best electro DJ’s worldwide throughout the summer season, concerts of really famous stars & artists of different genres were rather sparse. In 2008, Ibiza Rocks moved location and opened up their own Ibiza Rocks Hotel, though still staying in San Antonio. By now they have successfully fusioned a hotel, music, an own fashion line and even opened up their own travel company!
And although San An still remains a tabu-location for those “real” Ibiza lovers, the Summer 2010 line-up sounds pretty awesome! Pete Doherty will hit the stage on June 1st, one week prior to the official season opening, in which they will welcome international names every Tuesday till September 14th. Calvin Harris, The Prodigy, Maximo Park, Dizzie Rascal, Florence + The Machine and The Kooks are just some of them. Check out the full line up here (& see you there) !
