The Leeds born and L.A. based producer takes you with him on a sound and energy adventure diving into his slick style and sound mastering. Lady Gaga & Beyonce haben es wieder getan! Diesmal haben sie sich selber komplett übertroffen! Egal wie (sorry! dass wir das sagen müssen, die Musik ist fürn Arsch!) ABER die Bilder und Story übertrifft, bzw trifft die aktuelle Bewegung, in Bezug auf Mode, Kunst und Musik gerade so ziemlich alles, was der Markt uns so bietet. Der Film geht fast 10min,  Szenen und Handlungen,  sogar den Pussy Weagon von Tarantino sind eingebaut. Kostüme von den angesagtesten Designern der Gegenwart, sowie berühmte Unterstützung und Tanzszenen machen das Video komplett. Nicola Formichettei, Stylist dieses Videos, aber auch der persönliche von Miss Gaga, gibt uns Einblick auf die verschieden Kreationen, die eigens für dieses geschaffen wurden.

A new and refreshing brand is emerging out of Italy, by hands of the 32- year old Vivì Ponti. Showing her first Vivetta collection in Paris at a Who’s Next Contest in 2008, she has now released a very “mademoiselle” like collection for Autumn/Winter 2010. The collection is not only based on eccentric yet creative forms, but all pieces seem actually wearable. Ponti has recently designed dresses for Peaches Geldorf, of which she included some inspired versions in the current collection which you can partly buy here. We love this ‘bubble-pop-electric’!

After reporting about The Selby last week, when our man Jay from BKRW interviewed him exclusively in his temporary home in Colette’s shop window, he now reveales a sneak peak from his new book “The Selby Is in Your Place”. The book based on the cribs of many influential creatives from around the globe, features the personal spaces of Dangerous Dan, Lesley Arfin, Karl Lagerfeld and Oliver Zahm among many many others. It will be released on May 1st, but for those who definetely want to be one of the first, you can already pre-order it here!

First, let us make a general introduction, on who or what Nasty Mondays actually is.  Nasty Mondays was invented 5 years ago in Barcelona, by our friends Max & Sören- local celebrities, mad minds, blonde lovers and tattoo addicts! With their fable to indie & electro rock, they started with a party series that didn’t exist like that  in the catalonian city before. Mondays at Apollo was a MUST. Constantly reinventing themselves, with new themes, bands playing live, different locations and becoming crazier each time, they have managed to establish their base within Barcelona, and have toured in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Austria and Holland. Now: they are hitting New York City on the April 5th at Griffin- you have made it guys! Stay tuned for when and where here or here!

German music label Gomma, which have released the albums of WhoMadeWho, Munk, Headman and the Phenomenal Handclap Band among many others, have a sweet hobby: every now and then release a shirt. After colab’s with upcoming artists like SmalPaze, The Rammellzee and Colette, they now have had the chance to work with Perks from PAM- Perks and Mini.

He started out with a collection of illustrations for Gomma’s postermagazine AMORE, and followed with an exhibition at Berlin’s POOL Gallery. AMORE was of course sold out, what next? They decided to “Let’s do a shirt!”, which you can buy here now!

But the Gomma-World doesn’t end here! Sunglasses, a Munk EP and the new album of LeLe (Parra) will be released on the 30th of April!

Cobrasnake, einer der wohl mit erfolgreichsten Blogger, hat längst den “Online” Raum verlassen! Sein aktuelles Projekt hat er mit RVCA gestartet. Eine Sommer Kollektion, die aussieht, als wenn man sie ihm eigentlich gerade von Leib gezogen hat und diese vervielfacht. Sie ist bunt, sie ist weird, sie ist lustig und sie lässt dich hingucken…Irgendwie alles Attribute, die man Cobrasnake wohl auch zuordnen könnte. Autentisch ist sie wohl dann allemal.

DER Künstler, von dem alle sprechen. Die Times Online hat es geschafft ein Interview mit dem scheuen Mann zu machen und durfte ihn sogar bei seiner Arbeit filmen. Banksy erzählt im Interview, warum öffentliche Plätze immer noch seine lieblings Arbeitsstätten sind und beschreibt seine kritische Meinung zur Überwachung der eigenen Heimat.

Die Optik des Videos, dass die Times Online live filmen durfte, ist im Stil einer Überwachungskamera- Aufnahme, passend zum Thema und Inhalt des Bildes, welches er im Beitrag malt. Anonymität ,ein weiterer Schlüssel zum Erfolg?

Showing collections in a viral is becoming super common. Designer Rachel Roy translated her fashion into a short film starring Jennifer Venditti, to show her Spring 2010 collection. We like the idea and the video too!

Rachel Roy says: “Miroir Mirror follows a young woman who exists in a world that lacks color and inspiration. She is able to discover a world of whimsy and fun through fashion and explores different facets of her personality through her clothing. Venturing out into the world, she sees it through different eyes, full of color and wonder. As she concludes her journey she encounters a sign that says ‘Stop Worrying,’ which signifies something different to everyone. Essentially, it means that we should stop worrying about what others think and express ourselves however we feel. We should live life.”
