After high profile collaborations with Raf Simons, Rick Owens and Eley Kishimoto among others, EASTPAK now takes it to another level. They are heading to new grounds, and for the first time ever, have mingled within the furniture world. Together with the Belgian cult design label “Quinze & Milan” they are presenting a range of long lasting lounge seats, taking two classic Q&M designs and adding the EASTPAK functionality. Known for their 99 years guarantee policy, they have named the product line “Built to Resi(s)t” and made sure that the cool furniture carries the same practical elements as their timeless models. Both models will be produced in a numbered limited series, starting at 500€, and will be presented at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile during Milan Design Week from April 13-18th. This is probably the best invention for those that loose the remote when the game is on (by chance)- we don’t want to name names!

Der Tetris Stuhl von Gabriel Cañas, ein aus Mexico stammender Produktdesigner, der sich hauptsächlich mit Interieur Design befasst, hat diesen Stuhl entworfen. Man kann ihn komplett auseinander nehmen und erhält bei jedem einzelnen Stück ein Tetrisobjekt. Diese Woche noch wird der Prototyp nach Paris ziehen, um dort, am 14. April zur Eröffnung des neuen und ersten französischem Video Game Museum zu strahlen.

Since March 10th IKEA is displaying their furniture collections in 4 important metro stations in Paris! Champs Elysées Clemenceau, St Lazare, Concorde and Opera are decorated to make you feel at home with sofa’s, lamps and backdrops showing the interiors of the sweedish lifestyle brand. How cool is it to chill on a coach when waiting for the train?! The interactive installation will be shown in the underworld until March 24th. Check it out if you are in Paris, Paris!

Diese Serie an Stühlen wurde 1957 von Hans Brattrud von Norwegen designt. Bis 1970 wurde dieser Stuhl produziert, bis die Fabrik nieder gebrannt wurde. 2001 hat Paal Lunder die Norwegian Furniture Fabrik sozusagen wiederbelebt. Fjord Fiesta hat es geschafft diesen Stuhl neu zu kreieren, wobei er versichert, dass jedes Detail dem Original gleicht. Laminiertes Nussbaumholz, feinstes Leder & ein glänzendes Chrom vereint zu einem Kunstwerk.

Egg Collective is another “from women for women” project! The female foursum, maintain a virtual studio, as they live in 4 different places around the globe: Providence, Helsinki, New Orleans and Brooklyn. They dont have a steady on going collection, but work on project basis, just like they have done on “Stumped”. The limited edition of fallen sycamores and different sort of miscellaneous light bulbs, are functionally both a side table and lamp. We love these beautiful pieces and hope we find them in stores soon!

Wouldn´t we all wish, to come home one day, and have all our personal home fetich’s decorated and ready to enjoy?! The interior design team, Claudia Lozek and Alexander Stütz, do exactly that for you! They offer their chosen customers a “Turn Key Service”: from the layouts, to planning and the actual finished result, for your home or even work space. They choose the furniture and create individual room solutions , to give it that personal touch and look as if “you did it yourself”.

What they mean with that, can already be contemplated within their personal showroom in Berlin. The stylish, distinct and creative atmosphere can be seen within these 4 walls, where you can also buy all the self-designed furniture the duo creates. We like a lot… and now…can you please pass by?!

Johanna Grawunder is responsible for this beautiful coffee table. She mixes colored glass panels to achieve these lovely pieces of ‘interactive’ furniture. Depending on the perspective of the viewer, the orange tops serve as filters to change the color scheme of the structure. Nice idea and a chance to start and get some pigments into this grey winter homes!

We love these bottles & glasses from Italian brand Seletti. The glass products have the same design as our plastic friends, but can be used over and over again in your daily household! Be super careful, they are over-delicate, but definitely a nice little ad-on, on your dinner table. Look for your store here!

We love this lamp by Jaim Telias made completely out of polystyrene. Called “Lior”, Hebrew for light, the Chilean designer was inspired by his childhood memories, when he used to scratch the packaging off boxes.

Through scratching the surface, you can give the lamp your personal final touch, while being able to create different light sources and intensities. In any case, just be sure you think about a final design before you start!

We wish we could live in a house like this one! One “house” stack for each one of us, and life would be even sweeter!

The new five storey VitraHaus is positioned within the Vitra Campus at Weil am Rhein will show Vitra´s Home Collection, and is the work of star-architects Herzog & de Meuren. They started with the planning in 2006 and now its finally open for the public to order furniture directly on site, and basically start saving up to hopefully one day copy-paste it on our lands!

The new upcoming advertisement agency ‘Boys and Girls’ in Dublin, have one of the coolest meeting tables in their office we have ever seen made by abgc architects!

22,742 pieces of Lego were needed to finish this great furniture piece- it even has their company logo built in! The best part of this project is the 2 minute viral which they shot together with the Dublin based visual artist Cormac Browne, a sort of “how to do your own lego table in ultra speed”.
