Taking the occasion of Berlin’s upcoming Fashion Week, our fam from UNDPLUS at Tostraße is initiating a pop-up-store of the Swedish fashion label CTRL. We already informed you about the last exhibition of UNDPLUS with Berlin’s top artists, specially the unforgotten wall-painting from NOMAD. We’re excited to see the outcome on the opening day of July 6th,  with some spinning from D.J. CAPABLANCA (BANANAMANIA/GOMMA) and cocktails on the house!

Das Johannesburg 24 ist sowas wie der kleine Fußball-Bruder der großen Bar 25. Zusammen mit Adidas Originals hat man pünktlich zur WM eine Public Viewing Location in Kreuzberg geschaffen, die an einen Spielplatz erinnert, auf dem man den ganzen Tag nach Herzenslust Bretter zusammennageln kann. Tatsächlich sind die Buden und Hütten in der Holzmarktstraße 24 von der provisorischen Leichtbauweise, wie sie in Südafrika überall zu finden ist: viel Holz, Wellblech und auch ein paar Autoreifen. Hier läßt es sich nun nicht nur fantastisch Fußball gucken, sondern man kann sich sportlich selbst betätigen auf dem Beachvolleyball-Platz oder der Skateboardrampe, im kleinen Pool abhängen, essen, trinken, chillen…

Who knows better than the Travelettes, whose blog provides girls with thousands of tips, news and exchange about anything else you might like to know about travelling. When they noticed, that many girls discard weight before a journey while selling clothes, shoes and other things on fleamarkets to save money for their next trip, they decided to organize a fleamarket for the girls of Berlin. Situated in a gap between two buildings and welcoming its guests on nothing but a few artistic wooden seating possibilities, you would never think that HEDI serves some of the finest food in town.

Owner Tilo has not only put his former know-how from leading Bar 25’s restaurant into this, but most of all has put his heart- the absolute soul-kitchen menu enchants its guests with the best of the best, but at a very fair price. If this has still not convinced you to try it out, here comes the highlight: How about eating amazing food, under a clear sky in Summer while watching World Cup? The screens are ready to rumble, and we’re sure that HEDI will definitely become a summer insider-hot-spot, even for us!

Am Sonntag den 20. Juni findet hier in Berlin der Facepark von Diesel statt. Letzten Sommer hat diese ganze Kampagne gestartet und wird immer noch verfolgt. BE STUPID ist sozusagen ihre Hauptaussage. In diesem Fall geht es darum Analog, die digitale Welt umzusetzen, “sich ein eigens gebasteltes” Profil anzulegen und dann in den Mauerpark in Berlin zu gehen, wundervolle Musik von Bodi Bill zu hören und nebenbei ‘Liken’, ‘Comments’ auf andere Profile schreiben, Gruppen bilden und was es alles sonst noch so gibt. Die Idee klingt bescheuert, dass soll sie ja auch und wir finden es ist sehr raffiniert. Analog und reale Welt klingt bei uns in den Ohren immer wie Musik, heißt wir werden uns das Spektakel sicherlich nicht entgehen lassen.

Amanda Wachob ist gebürtige Amerikaner, Künstlerin und Tättowiererin. Was besonders an ihrer Arbeit als Tättowiererin ist, dass sie ihre künstlerische frei denkende Seite komplett ausleben kann in ihrer Körperkunst. Nicht die klassischen Tattoo Motive, sondern tatsächlich abstrakte Bilder, die sie sowohl auf Leinwand, wie auch auf Haut bringt.  Sehr eigen, sehr individuell und irgendwie cool!
