Absolutely true. Half of Berlin announced itself to go to the opening on October 7th. Located beneath the city-railways of Montbijou Park, where east meets west Berlin, we find the new concept of Flamingo, blending a night-club with the elite feeling of a cocktail & champagne bar.

Created by some of Berlin’s most renowned party producers, it is most certain that also this episode is just at its start of its probable long success. Conny Opper, creator of Berlin Festival, owner of the King Size Bar and former owner of the clubs Scala and Rio, teamed up with Ingrid Junker (with whom he also organizes the party series Broken Hearts Club) and silent partner Steuermann Axel (Delicious Doughnuts), to open something different. Alongside their philosophy of “When the music changes, so does the dance”, they are aiming to create something new, exiting and extravagant for Berlins party crowd.

The interior design speaks the same words as the graphic identity of its concept; vintage & custom-tailored furniture give you an instant feeling of privacy without excessive opulence, golden elements shimmer through the understated lighting, velvet chairs and mirrors create a sort of comfortable positive-kitsch while bar manager Rene Tempel (Soho House Berlin, Amano Bar, etc) offers some of the freshest interpretations of cocktail classics.

Musically Flamingo doesn’t follow any hypes, but wants to create its own flair. Some eclectic sonic style is mixed with a post-disco Zeitgeist while playing the most renowned cutting-edge selections. “Somewhere in between a cocktail bar, a club and a private party. Flamingo should not be misunderstood as exclusive or elitist though; when you can mix different scenes, where different kinds of people meet and there’s a real exchange and communication. Everything else is boring.”

“When something’s good, why dont do it again?” … must have said the Berliner Club- and Restaurantowner Cookie, when he decided to open a second veggie restaurant, after the first CHIPPS at Jägerstraße was such a big success.

On Monday evening CHIPPS #2 opened its doors, where we can now finally be able to enjoy lunch, dinner or breakfast at its new location at Friedrichstraße. The concept is the same as at CHIPPS #1: light and delicous meals and salads, mostly vegetarian, but not solely. You can choose meat as a garment on your plate.

The opening was extremely crowded, showing once again how popular the concept of eating healthy and carrying a healthy lifestyle has become to our generation. Congratulations and good lunch, ehhh… luck, Cookie!

Am 1. April eröffnet das Rocky Ragazzo am Strausberger Platz. Ein pornöses Landhaus zwischen Stalinbauten wird es werden, konzipiert und geführt von Sonya Netzle und Anja Wiroth. Die beiden Mädels arbeiten eigentlich seit Jahren in der Unterhaltungsindustrie, doch teilten die Vision einen Treffpunkt für die Menschen aus den Bereichen Musik, Mode, Film und Kunst zu schaffen, der gemütlich, aber glamourös zugleich ist.  Ob zum Launch oder ein Glas Wein nach der Arbeit, auf einen Tasse aus der hauseigenen Teemischung oder ein Stück Cheescake: Im Rocky Ragazzo kommt man als Gast, geht als Freund und kehrt wieder als Teil der Familie.

This hotel makes us want to be tourists in the city we live in!

We could list thousands of things why! From their website, the pictures they use and the way they talk on it; to the actual design of all areas of the hotel, let it be the 5 different types of room with their own decoration, or the hanging out places with a restaurant & bar with live bands; up to the little stories they made up about every crew member- they seem the friendliest hosting geniuses ever!

We have never spent a night, but we are sure, you definetly should!
