A new rising star on the horizon of landscape photography is Nick Meet. After studying in Leeds, he traveled around the world to work and build up his portfolio. He has already worked for well-known magazines like Esquire, Wallpaper and Wired Magazine as well as for commercial Clients like Playstation, VW or American Airlines. His works are now presented at colette Paris, known for their great nose for talents, from August 2nd to 28th.
Meanwhile at c/o Berlin we are also expecting extraordinary works. The exhibition ‘Peter Lindbergh On Street’ shows from September 25th onwards, more than 200 pictures of the photography legend at the Postfuhramt including classics from fashion-shoots then and now, but also some other works and rare Polaroids from Lindbergh´s archives. The exhibition will run till January 9th 2011, so you have plenty of time to get both prepared & go and see it.

You often have to be at the right place and the right time to start a career. Lisa Wassmann was at this place and became known for her party-pictures at the fast becoming glorious, and unfortunately fast closing, Berlin club ‘Scala’- becoming a sort of resident photographer for a time. From August 5th onwards, you can now see the great pictures of the young German photographer at the West Berlin Gallery. Not only Berlin’s nightlife, documenting excessive parties like those at ‘Scala’, but also more material with people in beautiful and mystic landscapes, are being presented in her exclusive favorite selection for the exhibition. Check out some more photographs of Lisa after the click!

The Direktorenhaus is a new 1000m2 arts & events space in Berlin, opening its doors as an experimental laboratory, a place where arts are fusioned and synthesised. The representative building in Mitte, featuring exhibition & club spaces, a bar, cinema, library and guest accommodations, was selected by the non-profit organization Illustrative e.V. as the perfect spot to focus on both analogue techniques and contemporary digital media whilst meeting traditional and classic crafts. During times where pools of creativity or creatives have such an important impact and influence in today’s industry, the “Directors House” could become a center of attention within Berlin’s community of art, craft, design and performance. We look forward to the future outcomes!

The first solo exhibition “Flowerhead” by the Berlin-based artist Olaf Hajek will be running at the Johanssen Gallery (within Direktorenhaus) till July 20th.

Today is re-run day, and we’ll be heading down to support our locals Falk (Peachbeach), Danny and Jens taking the challenge against Lisboa at St.Georg’s basement in Kreuberg.
